Senior Licensing Officer
Rekha is the Senior Licensing Officer for the agriculture technology (AgTech) portfolio. Rekha joins OTP from J.R. Simplot Co. where she was a senior business development manager responsible for new product development by analyzing available technologies and building business cases relevant for the company. Rekha has 15 years of experience in the food and agribusiness industry where she led R&D and product development teams. She has a Ph.D. in plant molecular biology from Delhi University South Campus and an MBA from Indiana University. Rekha will focus on research, assessment, marketing, business development, and commercialization of the AgTech intellectual property portfolio, negotiating technology transfer agreements, monitoring licensee performance and obligations, and engagement with faculty and students to support technology transfer and entrepreneurial activities on campus and commercialization of their inventions.
