Office of Technology Partnerships

Jim is the Associate Director for Corporate & Strategic Partnerships, facilitating collaboration between UCR faculty and industry by providing specialized company access to UCR’s pioneering research, faculty, students, and infrastructure. Jim works to design and execute strategies which build, sustain and expand beneficial relationships with the private sector and UC Riverside, its colleges, departments and faculty. In this role he develops and manages corporate partnership opportunities, and matches university assets to industry needs. Prior to joining UCR, Jim served 35 years in the agribusiness industry representing vertically integrated agribusiness corporations in sales management and international business development roles across Canada, Asia, Latin America, and Europe. Jim holds a B.S. in Agricultural Sciences from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and an M.B.A. from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and has served on university advisory committees and agricultural industry commodity boards.
